Rebecca Koenig is the careers reporter at U.S. News & World Report, where she writes feature stories about labor policy, workplace culture, employment data and career advice. She manages and edits the On Careers column, which publishes insight from experts about all aspects of professional life.

Koenig was named a 2018 fellow by the National Press Foundation and won the 2015 David W. Miller Award for Young Journalists. She has appeared in media interviews with public radio stations KPCC (Southern California), WTOP (Washington, D.C.) and AM970 (New York City), print outlets like the Detroit Free Press and podcasts including “The Business of Giving.” Koenig has presented at conferences such as the Florida Blue Foundation Community Health Symposium and PhilNext.

Previously, she covered social justice, religion, federal policy and labor at The Chronicle of Philanthropy. She’s also written for The Chronicle of Higher Education, Washington Post Express, Sauce Magazine, Narratively and Town & Style St. Louis Magazine, where she worked as managing editor.
