She has a master’s degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelors’ degree in Law, Letters and Society from the University of Chicago, where she graduated as both a Phi Beta Kappa and a Student Marshal, which is the highest academic honor for undergraduates.
