While at U.S. News, Narayan has appeared on higher education panels, such as at the College Media Conference and Business Access Media Conference; on the radio, such as CBS National Radio and WTOP-DC; and in recorded and live appearances, such as for CBS Interactive, Yahoo! and Voice of America—China. She also serves on the board of directors for Educational Credential Evaluators, a private, nonprofit organization based in Milwaukee whose mission is to ensure that educational qualifications are recognized across borders.
Prior to joining U.S. News in 2010, Narayan oversaw marketing for a Beijing-based travel firm; led international student recruitment tours for U.S. university admissions officers; and reported and edited for a China-focused business news website. As an international student, she earned a bachelor’s in international studies and English from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master’s in Asian Studies from George Washington University.
