SELMA, Ala. (AP) — Prosecutors in Alabama say 11 people have been arrested in connection to a drug-trafficking enterprise.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall told WSFA-TV on Wednesday that the investigation lasted more than a year from February 2016 through July last year. The Dallas County grand jury indicted the 10 men and one woman.
Marshall says the arrests were part of a joint investigation by state, federal and local law enforcement in Selma. He says wiretaps and surveillance were involved.
Those indicted include Marcus Oneil Pritchett, David Dashawn Lowe, Keisha Latreece West, Irvin Montel West, Leo Carter, Jamarrious Shaw, Jeremiah Brown, Mitchell Williams Jr., Kareen Walker, Jamarcus Jermaine Brenson and Choiis Jamal Kathevian Harris.
