Despite heavy campaigning by Republicans for Chris Wakim in the First Congressional District of West Virginia, it seems likely that Democrat incumbent Rep. Alan Mollohan will be re-elected to a 13th term.

The campaign to elect Republican Chris Wakim to the First Congressional District of West Virginia filed a Federal Election Commission complaint Thursday alleging that Democrat incumbent Alan Mollohan coordinated illegally with a 527 political group.

After the Federal Election Commission released its latest finance reports recently, the campaign to elect Republican Chris Wakim to West Virginia's First Congressional District quickly pointed out that it had about $72,000 more cash on hand than Democratic incumbent Rep. Alan Mollohan.

Nick Casey, chairman of the West Virginia State Democratic Executive Committee, is calling for Chris Wakim to return $15,000 in campaign donations he received from House Speaker Dennis Hastert and House Majority Leader John Boehner.
