Nader's Support Down Significantly From 2000

Ralph Nader's campaign fizzled in the homestretch, failing to generate significant support on election day. The Washington Post reports Nader's "support plummeted from four years ago, as returns early today showed him with less than half a percent of the national vote and unlikely to repeat his 2000 role as a villain to Democrats." With 95 percent of precincts tallied, Nader had just 388,030 votes nationally, just over 18,000 votes ahead of the Libertarian candidate.
