Cheney Touts Bush's Record, Attacks Democrats On Judicial Nominations
NBC reported President Bush "is sticking with tradition, keeping a low profile during the Democrat's convention week. But Vice President Cheney is on the campaign trail in the Pacific Northwest."The Los Angeles Times adds that Cheney was "delivering a one-man rebuttal to the Democrats in Boston," discussing "Bush's record on the war on terrorism and his tax cuts, policies that the vice president said has made the nation safer and helped to turn around the economy." Cheney "mentioned Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, by name only once assailing him and his Senate Democratic colleagues for 'obstructionist tactics' blocking a number of Bush's judicial nominees."
