The Sept. 30, 1985, issue of U.S.News & World Report says of Qadhafi at this gathering: "The fiery leader denounced the U.S., Zionism, and imperialism, reiterated this dream of Pan-Arab unity, and advocated creation of a global network linking Libyan Revolutionary Committees with counterparts in Iran, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Northern Ireland.
