President Ronald Reagan, after a full career on screen, moved into the political arena, serving two terms as governor of California and two terms as president of the United States. During Reagan's presidency he stressed tax reform and increased defense spending. He also dedicated a large portion of his presidency to world problems such as communism, world hunger, and terrorism. U.S. News followed Reagan's presidency closely. The following photos are a selection from Reagan's two terms in office.
