A division of the American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association has a website that contains information on warning signs, life after stroke, and a search box for finding stroke programs and events locally.
National Stroke Association
The NSA website has risk-factor information, an online store where you can order brochures, books, and videotapes about stroke, and an online magazine called "Stroke Smart" which follows the latest research on stroke.
The Brain Attack Coalition
According to its website, the Brain Attack Coalition is a group of professional, voluntary, and governmental entities dedicated to reducing the occurrence, disability, and death associated with stroke. Members include the American Academy of Neurology and the American College of Emergency Physicians. The site contains resources geared toward both medical professionals and patients.
