| School mission | Located seven miles outside Boston, Tufts is a university of 8,000 students that uses the intellectual framework of the liberal arts and engineering to serve the common good. Globalism, active citizenship and environmentalism are multidisciplinary themes that link over 60 academic programs in the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering, the University???s two undergraduate programs.
