| Mission | |
| School mission | "Challenging convention, changing our world" Clark University occupies a unique position among academic institutions as a small research university with a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and a history of pioneering thought. Reflecting its history as America's first all-graduate institution, today Clark combines graduate training and research with undergraduate education to embody a "university college" concept. A hallmark of Clark's culture is that a faculty of recognized scholars works closely with graduate and undergraduate students in research and creative projects, seminars, laboratories and the classroom. This "elbow teaching" also includes senior faculty members regularly teaching introductory courses. Clark students in any major can participate in the innovative International Studies Stream program. The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies is the only one of its kind in the world. Students can earn a bachelor's and master's degree in five years, with the fifth year tuition free. |
