Mission
School mission The mission of St. Joseph's College is to provide a strong academic and value-oriented education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, rooted in a liberal arts tradition that supports provision for career preparation and enhancement. Small classes and a faculty whose primary focus is teaching foster a high level of student engagement in the learning process. An Academic Center provides extensive assistance in English as a Second Language and other basic college skills to provide all, but especially non-native and non-traditional students, with a foundation for success. The School of Professional and Graduate Studies provides programs for working adults in a flexible framework. Our location allows students to profit from the cultural, business, and professional resources of New York City and the metropolitan area. Short trips overseas, planned and accompanied by faculty members, enrich the curriculum with greater understanding of other cultures and with an appreciation for the art and architecture of major European cities.
