| School mission | Overview Arkansas State University in Jonesboro (ASUJ) is a comprehensive regional institution of higher education offering top-quality academic programs to students from throughout the United States and the world. Dedicated to teaching, research and service, the university provides students with the broad educational foundations that help develop critical thinking and analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and communication skills. Academics Arkansas State University-Jonesboro offers 38 degree programs and 158 fields of study at the doctoral, specialist, master's, bachelor's and associate degree levels. The university is the state's leading provider of nursing graduates, early childhood educators and agriculture business graduates. In addition, ASUJ has top-ranked programs in journalism, radio-television and speech communication. Degree programs in nursing and health professions are greatly in demand, with ASUJ having clinical affiliations with more than 300 healthcare institutions.
