School mission The University of Pittsburgh is a member of the Association of American Universities, an organization comprising the leading research universities in North America. The University is home to the internationally renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Pitt offers outstanding academic options, including: undergraduate research, the University Honors College, and a wide range of degree programs across its 16 Pittsburgh campus undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools.
