Best Regional Schools

Universities

What Are the Regional Universities? Like the national universities, regional universities (as defined in 1994 by the Carnegie Foundation) provide a full range of undergraduate and master's level programs. But they offer few, if any, doctoral programs. The 505 regional universities are ranked within four geographic areas: North, South, Midwest, and West. For more information, visit www.usnews.com.
