Use the search function at the top of the page to find a specific document. Or click on a document title on either of the voting pages (chronology or theme) to reach an associated page with an in-depth description, transcript, and a graphic image. As you research the documents, you may add them individually to your ballot.

If you'd prefer to vote by mail, you may download a printer-ready version of the ballot.

I am unable to view my ballot or add items to it. What's wrong?
Online voting requires that scripting be enabled. This allows us to keep track of those documents you have decided to add to your ballot. If you do not have scripting enabled or if you are using a browser that does not support JavaScript you will not be able to vote online. If you would like to vote online you will have to enable scripting in your browser or upgrade to a different browser that supports JavaScript. Otherwise, you will still be able to view the documents and research your choices at our site, but you will need to print out a printer-ready version of the ballot and mail it in.

Can more than one person vote from the same computer?
Yes, but you have to complete each voting process by casting the vote before a new session can begin.

If you haven't submitted your ballot, your votes will be there when you get back.

Does my vote still count if I don't fill out the optional information at the end of the ballot?
Yes

How long does the voting period last?
Voting will take place through December 1. The results will be published in an issue of U.S.News & World Report later that month.
