MiGs over Moscow It's against U.S. law to sell a ride on a military jet. But in Russia, $6,500 to $13,000 buys a trip on a MiG fighter to the atmosphere's edge, guided by an English-speaking pilot.

Air Combat USA ^ Train for one hour, then fly a high-powered Italian prop plane (with an ex-military pilot) into a mock dogfight. There's smoke! And lasers! Offered in different U.S. cities. Cost: $995 to $1,795.

Urban Ops At the world's largest private urban operations training facility (in Arkansas), you'll descend from a copter by rope and use assault rifles with fake ammo. The three-day program ends with a rescue mission. Cost: $3,495 plus lodging and meals.

Covert Ops At the Tucson, Ariz., airport, a covert-ops agent flashes a signal that leads you to a three-day secret-agent camp. The $3,795 fee pays for lodging, meals, and code-breaking class.
