OMG! Coral Damage!

When the spill was active these same scientists proclaimed the destruction of the Gulf ecosystems would take hundreds of years to recover.

Really, this is it? Billions of dollars spent and a thousand scientists pokin' around - and all they can come up with is a few acres pf damaged coral? Meanwhile we watch as energy prices soar. Just freakin' perfect.

First, I suspect the coral will recover. Second, go out and sink a few old rusty ships. You will create more underwater habitat in five minutes than coral could create in 500 years.

We do not live in the Garden of Eden. The sin of progress has a price. Of course, we can always march back to the caves under fluttering green banners - leaving 95% of humanity to simply die off due to a cave shortage.... digging new caves would be an enviro-no-no.
