Greeting! The excellent site, has especially liked design. Thanks.

I am from Switzerland and , too, and now am writing in English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "Read on to find out what these signs are and you can tell whether a guy likes you or not."

With best wishes :-D, Merrill.

As a 5 year old child 55 years ago, I can vividly recall seeing Orions Belt and the Big and Little Dippers from my backyard while star gazing. Nowadays, there is glare that lights up the entire sky. I recall as a teenager sitting in my care on a secluded road overlooking Santa Barbara with my sweetheart - and we could see uncountable numbers of stars. But that was then, and this is now. We can never go backwards in time, so I was lucky to have had such a memorable experience burned into my mind and heart until the day I die. I feel sorry that so many youngsters near cities will never have those memories because the sky has fallen for them.

Thinking Harder

This blog is the public workshop of U.S. News writer and editor Ben Harder. In articles published in the magazine, he has covered a range of sciences, including medicine, human behavior, prehistory, and evolution. Here, he can explore those and other scientific fields more fully and more informally than is possible in print. He'll share whatever seems noteworthy or potentially useful, and he invites readers to do the same.

WTOP Audio
On Feb. 24, 2008, Ben discussed the link between artificial light and cancer on WTOP radio. Listen to the interview at WTOP News. He again talked about light pollution on WTOP on March 22, exploring its environmental effects.
