Natural Pain-Killing Chemical Synthesized

I am a chronic pain patient and I am in the process of getting myself off from methadone and morphine. Not a fun way to spent my summer. But for one reason or another I have been on and off different opiods since I was about 10 yrs old and I am now 44. And I am so sick and tired of being "doped up" all the time. I want my life back.

What you are talking about here sounds like a dream come true! My fear is that the drug companies will squash it before it has a chance to be tested on humans because it isn't addictive and thier revenues will diminished if they don't have something addictive for the doc's and pain doc's to put thier patients on and keep the revenues flowing.

They've done it with cancer, found a natural cure but that would kill thier bottom line...it's best to let the patient suffer and die then the companies themselves. How can this be protected and tested on humans, before the drug companies catch wind of it and kill the chance that people like me could live a nornal life without thier drugs killing me on top of thier drugs doing nothing for my pain but making it worse.

Looking at the structure, it's obviously related to pericine and akuammine, both of which involve opioid receptors heavily. If this really doesn't interact with opioid receptors it'd be surprising, but it seems almost certain to involve inhibition of NMDA receptors.
