I GUESS IT HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY CLEAR THAT THE THEORY OF "4 PARASITES AFFECTING MAN" IS GRADUALLY BECOMING OBSELETE WITH REPORTS OF PLASMODIUM KNOWLESI INFECTIONS IN MAN, THE MOST RECENT BEEN A SPANIARD TRAVELLER TO SOUTH EAST ASIA.

IT REMAINS WITHOUT DOUBT, HOWEVER, THAT, THERE ARE 4 'MAIN' SPECIES THAT INFECT MAN.
