I pray that there is a vaccine soon. I'm 24 and haven't given up-these finding give me even more hope. Hope is all I need to keep moving forward.

People with HIV have immune system suppression to the point where they are statistically more likely to get hit by a car than suffer from autoimmue complications.

I believe this is going in the right step and is a wonderful thing. Good job!!!!!!!!!!

to every one that is involved.

I wonder what the symptom profile was of the individual who had the VRCO1 antibodies. Heightening the immune response has many consequences, the ramifications could be nearly lethal for some I would assume as I have an auto-immune disorder and it has nearly killed me twice.

This isn't a finding that should be overblown. Yes, it might concievably indicate that there are conserved residues in HIV that might make good vaccine targets, the virus could easily mutate its way past the vaccine if it's only 90% effective with the current strains. Yes, it could help a lot of people in the short term, but this is a far cry from saying an effective cure is in sight.

This is exciting in life. I was around when polio

was the worry and you got 4 shots in the arm

over a period of time. PAIN

let us hope drug companies get behind it but I

doubt that as they have made millions on drugs

to work on AIDS. Seems two sides do not click

as MONEY is the key factor in all of life
