Nuke Plant Leaks Renew Debate Over Aging Plants

While leaking reactors are certainly a problem, let's remember that nothing unsafe actually happened in Vermont (I'd take the word of a radiation biologist over a politician). Nuclear power is still one of the cleanest, most environmentally-friendly, and safest means of generating energy.

In the last five years 152 people died coal-mining related deaths (http://www.msha.gov/stats/charts/coalbystate.asp).

Know how many people have EVER died nuclear-plant related deaths in this country? Zero.

Although the company lied before, it's not lying now. Of course, it could be lying about not lying now, or lying about lying before, but, heck, those are good old folks running that plant, right? Right? Unless, of course, they've been drinking the water from wells around the plant and now have brain rot - in which case lying isn't really their fault, you see?
