2010 July spaceweather.com noted the sun emitted two jets in opposition to each other. Something like this:

Is the sun's magnetic field collapsing?

in case a zombie attack you should board up all of the windows and block the doors with every thing and get all of your food and water up in the the house with the latter that folds and get any guns ammo and bats or any thing to defend or kill with that is what Jake willing says because he knows every thing you need to know about them and try to shoot them in the head because if you destroy there brain there dead and if you find survier bring them to your place so you cover more ground

okay if the solar blows up we do right that is what Jake says but we might have a chance to serve if we get as far into the earth as we can with water

Ok, what if the Earths poles did reverse? If the planet slowed down or reversed it's rotation, wouldn't our magnetosphere burn out in a flash leaving us exposed to solar winds (plasma)? From what I understand the magnetosphere is our shelter. What types of events could alter its performance?

Helios comes awake to send his fiery arrows our way. Some are pleasant, some are harsh, which one will he send this time is anyone's guess. I believe our Sun was in such a sleep because he was recharging energy. Magnetic knots were being formed deep inside, just so tight to nearly snap. They will uncoil soon enough, perhaps making life on Earth, a little more tough. I hope we have a good time on planet Earth, now that we've finally gotten a grip on things, like awareness on pollution, etc. I believe we will thrive, realizing our place in cosmos. This date is special because already many people are becoming aware that something great can happen. It is a date many recognise could possibly coincide with something on a global scale, much more than at any close future date!

The extreme voltage difference between the earth and the ion stream could cause vertical lightening discharges from the earth to the upper ion stream. The electron flow from the earth to the ion stream will take kinetic energy from the earth to the ion stream. This could be the way an Ice Age could be started; interesting hypothesis if nothing else.

The sun has a much greater affect on climate and weather than anything that mankind can come up with or has ever done. How can scientists agree on what mankind can do to affect climate change when they cannot fully understand or predict the most important factors affecting climate change. Is this real or feel good science? Climate change is a constant, most of the media is clueless on the magnitude of natural factors which affect our existence on this planet. To think that we can affect the sun, the earth's magnetic field, the gravitational effect of the moon and other celestial bodies and the other internal processes of the earth means we are overstating our human capabilities just a little.
