Couldn't this technique be used in reverse to download information to our brains? We could wirelessly keep up with the events of the world. Our brains would become more powerful and would probably do away with dementia because of the exercise our brains would get. We could design it to take the lies and deceit out of this world. It would enormously free up time that was used to study or keep up with the news. On the negative side, it would enable mind control and in the wrong hands, it would be the worst thing that ever happened to man.

I am exited about this, this is something everyone thinks about. It has been explored in everything from Scifi to fantasy. This makes me hopeful for our future...Although some of the possible implications are frightening.

Since communicating with these impaired citizens is used with high-tech computers, what is to stop hackers from tapping into the software and reading the thoughts of others who may have wanted the information private? Is there any technology that could be avaiable with the communication technology that could be used to protect the technology from ameteur or professional computer hackers alike?

I think the electrodes could be implanted directed on the surface of the head. This needed hightechnique information transfer devices. But, when this kind of devices developed. Human's thought will be explode to the public reluctantly. Also, another technique are needed, that is how to translate the electronic information into the real though of humans.

Good or not, technique will make this come true one day.

The article mentions it would help the brain impaired, but could it also be used for individuals to communicate with their deaf friends. Rather than screaming at the friend causing agitation on both the speaker and listener, the speaker could use their brain waves to issue a message on the computer screen of the listener. The listener could respond verbally if possible or respond with the use of this new technique. I realize I am speaking future, but it never hurts to dream
