I been real concerned! On the other hand it occurred to me, if water expands when it turns to ice what is the big deal? Plant life is bound to expand to with golbal warming right? Personal Perception and beliefs will probable prevail just like scare tactics used to produce war!

To Troy of FL...
1. Do you think sea level will rise or get lower by the year 2050?
2. It would be good to hear that it is not going to rise beyond a certain level. I would like for you to assure me that it won't rise any more than X amount. Multiple choice question easy! Between 2010-2050 sea level will only rise by?
a. 1 inch
b. 1 foot
c. 10 feet
d. Go down an inch
e. Go down a foot
f. Go down 10 feet
Which choice do you think is closest to what actually will happen?
It's always good to have an expert on our side!

well, for centuries. Now might be the moment to buy that "soon to be beachfront" property. It's all about timing...

They should just go all the way and say that all of Florida will be gone as well as 1/3 of the US. Might as well scare us even more saying things like - the Grand Canyon will be full of sea water; the great lakes will become marsh/swamp and alligators will thrive, threatening all of mankind near the lakes; huge sink holes will develop, engulfing entire cities; etc. These warnings are as old as human kind - the world'd end is always just around the corning. It's simply all, blah, blah, blah...

Define "survive"?
No one is suggesting climate change will wipe out the human species, it simply threatens to submerge a large portion of its coastal territory.
Reading comprehension = important.

You should notice that the earth survived the water level increase back 125,000 years ago; and the earth will survive again. Humans are spinning their wheels about something they have no control over. You don't actually think that Mankind can get together and reduce the greenhouse effect, which has occurred in the past.? I don't but what would slow it down is to decrease the hot air coming from Al Gore.
