I was fascinated by Buddhine's comment about Sri Lanka being a good place to research because of the higher level of natural and reared hives.
When I lived in Sri Lanka 36 years ago I had a few hives for about 8 years. There was a lot of help from the ministry of agriculture then. I am not able to find much in the way of research in Sri Lanka. Is there a high proportion of natural hives?

It is very interesting field of study.Ithink if u can elobarate your studies on bee honey that will be a great job.If its you can pay your attention on antioxident capacity of bee honey,HMF content related to worker bees behaviours and environmental factors.Sri Lanka is a good place for the reseach on bee honey because of the higher availability of natural and reared hives. If you have more reseach publications regarding bee honey or bees i like to have a look on them, since im very much interesting in this field of studies. As well i did a mini reseach on physiochemical quality evaluvation on Sri Lankan bee honey.Good Luck for your studies.Hope to keep in touch with your studies.Bye

The human race is pretty sad & pathetic.
We all know what the root cause is, yet we do nothing.
The root causes are: pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and the mother of them all; GMO seeds.
You see, once you start playing with genes/ plant chemistry's, you throw the entire ecosystem out of whack.
Einstein once said, "if the bees go, then all the fruits and vegetables will soon follow, to which, man has only apprx. four (4) years left.
You see, the plants go first, then the animals, then mankind.
Another way to look at this is the earth's atmosphere is protected by the canopy provided by plant life.
So with that said, I want to thank Monsanto, Bayer, Syngenta, and the entire gang on Wall-Street, you guys are doing a fabulous job.
