I SAY WE DITCH EARTH AND GO OUT ON OUR BICYCLES IN OUTER SPACE AND EAT ALL OF THE UNICORNS AND THEN GO TO PLANET UNICORN AND SLEEP ON RAINBOWS AND PLUFFY CLOUDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

our world has treated this planet roughly for a very long time and I think it is time we do something good for a change. I feel guilty and I want to do anything that I can to keep us on our planet for as long as possible. Soon enough we will be discovering other galaxies that we can go to and inventing advanced transportation to them. In those galaxies it is possible we will be able to survive on some of the planets so we might as well start out fresh on a new fresh clean planet.

OOps! Lost all that data. Guess we shouldn't have had it all on tapes and paper that we had to throw away. Sure would be nice if someone could invent some kind of electronic device that in some mysterious way could store vast amounts of data easily and efficiently. Maybe Great Vizir Gore could work on that. Just a thought. -Stupendously intelligent Climate Scientist

What can one say? We have the republican base whose gullibility for the unproven is only outdone by its incredulousness for scientific thought.

If everyone would send me ten dollars, I will computer-simulate that everything is just peachy and then issue a snazzy report with charts and graphs reflecting same.

Honest Salesman of TN 2:22AM November 27, 2009

cutting the global warming pollutions is the critical step of the healther planet and people, which is revealed in the report.however, what it supported seemed not to relate to its issue.

the report said the slashing cardon dioxide emssions can save lives of lung and heart deseases, which is supported by the unprecise computer model.computer is good, while it can't used to predict the future. And the below is what the experts said.however, nothing about data is reported.

At last, the report turn to the point of more exercise and less meat consumption, which is more useful for our planet and our health. Then it came up with the ridiculous conclusion that is so tough to achieve the goal of more bicycle and less meat consumption.

haaaa,we get nothing from this, what we should do? Is the Global warming so terrible for our planet? Which proper lifestyle can come true for us?

This article is sooo weak. Where are the figures, the hard data. Where is the arguments that tie the lives saved together with cap and trade . There aren't any. Gone is the time that we are going to accept this kind of reporting. When you read this you immediately notice that good healthy habits of eating and of exercise would do more good than any of the global warming plan. It is a known fact that there has been no real increase in temperature in the last nine years.

You mentioned that this idea is based on computer models. I have had personal experience in computer models. It was used to determine the 100 year flood plane locally. The models defy the real experience of the locals who lived through the floods. But never mind real experience when you have computer models, right. No matter how nuts the conclusions the engineers stuck to their models. Oh, by the way, they would not tells us how they constructed the model until after the plan was law. How convenient. Now, whenever someone mentions a computer model to predict things I go, "yea, right."

When dinosaurs roamed the planet CO2 levels were many times higher than now (could they have had SUVs? Nah...). Say, maybe that's what snuffed them out - not an asteroid. Or, maybe the asteroid, and subsequent conflagration, made more CO2 and that doomed them.... You just never know what's gonna happen when unintended consequences crop up - Kinda like Cap and Trade.
