YES! foxnews has another angle to ramp up the anger of its viewers - "Oh my, oh dear, those awful scientists are scaring us out of all our hard earned money with dire predictions that humans are changing the environment! Don't listen to them, only us. Drive your Hummers! Pollute in excess! And don't forget to buy the new Glen Beck book, or our ‘I Hate Environmentalists’ bumper stickers, because we will use the profits responsibly."
"THEY" just care about profiting from scaring people about Global Warming - not like "US," who is in it for the welfare and betterment of humanity.
OH WAIT - "they" and "us" are both on the same planet fist fighting each other to extinction instead of using our hands to dig in and WORK on solutions!
But that would call for each side of the global warming debate to use rational and not greed, anger or scare tactics. Rational/balanced/normal ACTION on climate issues would benefit ALL of us.
Like how YOU could recycle more and waste less, or are you too busy at the soup kitchen feeding the poor? Please tell me how YOU are helping humanity? Or is that someone else's job? Someone who can make a profit from it? Like Gore and foxnews?
http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/ This blog seems RATIONAL on climate issues (that means it looks at both sides of the equation before leaping to a conclusion).
Conclusion: be rational in your examination of larger issues like climate change.
Also ask yourself, if so-and-so isn't doing such a hot job when stating climate facts, who should I promote? And what can I do to help all of us?

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, NSF! Even as the scare mongers' scientific and objective credentials become more and more tarnished, you cling to any so-called "evidence" which you claim supports your flawed models. Amazing how "Global" warming is more pronounced in such a limited land mass as the Western United States as opposed to the Eastern US.
Hope you won't consider punching me out for having the audacity to point out that the emperor wears no clothes.

This article was written before the hackers exposed all the phony research of millionaire, ALGORE's minions.
Maybe the science wasn't "settled" after all. The climate's changes may not be so novel as recently supposed.

Hey, I have a trip planned this June 20th 2010. Going from La. to ohio, what is the weather going to do? will it be hot, cool, rainning, foggy !! Mr. Gore and the weather guys got it down to the hour !! Please tell me so I will know to save my money and go some other time? Maybe if you start selling future weather happenings Gore could get richer and I could save traveling on good weather days !!!!!!!!!

These cynical views are absolutely horrendous. Get out of your Hummers and realize that global warming is actually occuring. And anyway, even if you don't think that global warming is happening think about landfills. Pollution. Water. Use your minds and not your pessimistic egos.

The overall temperature will rise for whatever the reason and reguardless what people will do; although if the politicians shut their mouths, there would be less hot air to affect the climate.
Water levels are going to rise so lets all concentrate on compensating for the higher water levels. So lets all do something about what we can do something about rather than pointing fingers about what is causing the problem. Talking about the problem is not solving the results of the problem.
One way to reduce the heating of our planet is to produce a cloud of gas between the earth and the Sun to reduce some of the heating effect on the earth from the Sun's radiation which is about 100 watts per square meter of earth. For this solution, I will accept a Nobel Prize like Al Gore got. But unlike Al Gore, I can use the money because I am poor.

No days over the 90 degree F mark last year in the central and northern part of Wisconsin. The same this year. I have never seen that in the 50 years that I have been alive. Lows that have not been seen for over a century occured quite often this year along with snow in places never before seen by those living.
Maybe the used car salesman Al Gore should harp about what is real. Wait a minute! He won a Nobel prize just like Barry Soetoro (B. Obama) even though they have accomplished nothing.
This might sound like a conspiracy if it weren't true.

Although I'm not surprised that a government funded organization helped publish such "startling" finds, I'm entirely surprised that the USN is even posting this on their database under "science". This is not a science. Global warming is a myth, at least in the sense it's completely man's fault - i.e., Al Gore's version of global warming. Were you guys bored or something?
And I'm guessing the next logical step would be to tax CO2 "sins", thus controlling the amount of CO2 released, right? Sure, let's not breathe. Great idea.

Who are these minnions of stupid Al Gore to promote such poppycock?

The current models of C02 warming suggests the the atmosphere would be warmed not only near the surface but up to several miles. This does not occur. The warming is almost all within a half mile of the surface. This suggests that land use, not CO2 or methane is the major player. We have stripped the forests, planted large areas, and generally changes the surface that absorbs the heat of the sun. Yes warming is probably at least partially cause by man. Little if any of the heating is cause by CO2.
