So your response to a headline like "Doctors Suggest Not Driving Off Nearest Cliff" would be "What doctors? Where is the balance?"

This is a complete scare story. Which "scientists" are predicting three feet of ocean rise? Where is the opposing viewpoints? Why has the sea been rising while the climate cooled for the past ten years? I'm disappointed in how unbalanced this story is from U.S. News.

Responsible People Say "May" when describing future events. Science ain't religion and it lacks the certitudes of a religion. No faith involved, just evidence.

Ollie may die of a stroke, or he may die of heart attack. He may die of old age or he may die of cancer. Ollie may die in an automobile wreck or he may die in a shootout with police....key word being "may", of course, the fact that Ollie WILL die, is not in dispute. Global warming is not in dispute either, how it may project itself on different regional climates, the large number of hypothetical possibilities that can erupt due to global warming may or may not be known, the end result remains the same. Ollie will die and global warming is happening and the young lady will not get her zygotes, baby!

Most important word in article "may" , of course that implies that it may not. That is the beauty of this new religion. It can have it any way they want it, all it requires is faith. I think it all comes down to what most "issues" have in common, a young lady sees a poor little starving polar bear and goes "Awwww! How sad!" A guy sees this and calculates for a second, then sidles up to her and says "Don't worry, I'll do something about this! What are you doing later?" It's all about the zygotes, baby!
