If there were any life on the moon, we would have just declared war on them.

For ALL the idiots out there. This was a controlled test to gather infomation! Do you understand? The continued exploration FOR Mankind of Outer Space is not close to the waste of OUT-SOURCING jobs and ignoring the experienced workers.

NASA has around a $15 billion annual budget to do with as they see fit. If they want to use $79 million to smash a rocket and sattelite into the moon, have it. The moon's racked with craters as it is, that little rocket wasn't going to hurt it any. It still amazes me how much people complain; especially about things they have no dealings with or say so in. NASA has an insurmountable wealth of knowledge and it's because they have intelligent people with a large budget to work with. Let them do the space science and, Average Joe, just leave the educated and trained to it.

I think they ought to be ashamed of theirselves. For one their are starving homeless kids in the U.S. For another they are already distroying our mother earth, I'm just in shock that they are starting to distory our moon.

Well, living in florida I had no chance because of sunrise and overcast clouds.. I find it frustrating that all the media are complaining about how much it cost now? like what the hell it was launch 3 months ago.. Where was the media when the funds were appropriated? Oh that's right that's boring news its easier just to complain after the fact..

I live in Mpls, MN. just west of theMississippi and set up my 8 inch reflector tele. to try to see something from the moon crash event. Was disappointed in the NASA site in trying to get info on the event and finding video downloads of the activity at NASA.

Their website is kind of hard to navigate. (especially when one is trying to quickly locate info at 5:30 in the morning!) grumble, whine, grumble.
