Watch NASA Give the Moon a One-Two Punch

I understand that our government has forgotten about the Constitution, or at least does not pay it much attention. We need to remind our elected officials of this. Vote all incumbents OUT. It does not matter Democrat or Republican, we need to vote all of those in office out of office. We need to scare the hell out of our elected officials to get the to listen to the people. Why should they listen to us, if we just re-elect them every election?

However we need to get a base on the moon and colonize mars. This should have already been done. Look at all the scientific advancements that came from the original moon missions, and space travel. We need to keep that ball rolling for the betterment and the future of the USA!

They should have put Obama, his peace prize and most of the government in it and sent them. Americans have totally lost sight of their own country and whats happening right here in the USA. The government needs to keep their nose out of our business and take a look at the Consitiution, cause they clearly don't have a clue. All they see is what is going into their pockets and how they can put more in it. I'd really like to meet just one government official on Capital Hill that really gives a hoot about the people of this country and whats really best for us. I have a grown son that has a pile of serious medical problems, I have taken care of him his whole life, and no I don't get one dime from the government, everything is out of pocket, from his place to live to his doctor bills, medicines, utilities, you name it. All because hs's a single white male with no children, when I tried to get help they said yes he is really sick, but he has a high IQ and he's you guessed it a young single white male with no children. That's our government, send monies everywhere but here. And no I'm not for the health care bill, because I couldn't afford to buy it on my son, and so they would fine me cause he doesn't have any and when I couldn't pay that, they would be trying to put a sick man in jail, go figure. I'm just waiting for the day when all these regular joe's that voted for him realize whats happening to them, cause Hollywood and the government is the only one's who are going to make it out of this, if they don't wake up soon.

I think it's a waste of effort and money. Do you really need to find if there is water on the moon, I'm no scientist but what if there is what's that going to change in the futre? Hopefully it doesn't change the gravitational pull and sink the earth into a black hole.

the goverenment won't help out our troops, is allowing our Bill of Right's as well as our constituional rights to be taken away, my 12 year old say's this " People will loose there home, their jobs, but will have medical insurance" interesting coming from a twelve year old. Now we are in debt and we are going to spend a fortune to get, find, water on the moon. There are people starving, homeless,

and this used to be the land of the free, Land of opportunity, This has become a serious joke, those who voted for Change in America, I wonder if this is what they really ever counted on this. How is this fixing the American people. Like usual our Goverenment has it's priorities, but don't worry, we will have moon water soon, I'm sure that will fix things in America today. I bet our soldiers would be thrilled for some water. Wonder how long it will take them to bottle some up. Look around people, this country is dying, you have people debating on the house floor, that someone is affended by a large ten commandments, but the little ones dosen't bother him. Personally, I can not believe that we are paying these people to debate some ignorant statement. Bet they have health insurance. No stops to bring up car insurance, what happened, when the goverenment made it mandatory for car insurance? Thats right, you had no control over your premiums. I for one do not care if we can launch a missle to the moon, I don't care if we have water on the moon. I live here on Planet "Earth" I wish the rest of our government did too.

Here in Clear Lake City (Houston), I've heard (and suspect it's true) that NASA basically "tore up" the original Apollo rocket ship designs, back in the 1970's, in order to ensure that they would get adequate Congressional support for their "new" spaceship program, called the Space Shuttle. Their fear was that budget-conscous congressmen would prefer NASA to just keep building more Apollo rockets--instead of wasting more $ on research and development towards the new shuttle program. So that's one reason why they now have to design these modern rocket ships from "scratch". Another reason is, ofcourse, that technology has changed so much. The old designs don't use many (if any) integrated circuits (microchips) as would be practical to use in a new design today.

Just curious: if we were there so many times, with comparativly so little trouble, why is there so much talk about how we are not yet ready to go again? My home computer can do things the one I had ten years ago could not even dream of, you would imagine that NASA has a bit more technology than it did in the sixties. I have never seen a any technology giant say that what they did twenty years ago, they cannot do again today. Instead, they say they can do it better and for less money.

Also, if we landed there so often, why do we have to send a rocket crashing into the surface to see if there is any evidence of water. Should we not already know whether there is water beneath the "barren moonscape"? We did land there a number of times - just curious.
