Sounds like the winemakers have been sampling the wine a little too much. I guess that drinking enough will produce gas but it will be methane which does have hydrogen in its makeup.

I don believe it.... Show me the reaction with numbers...and hydrogen ion shifts in the organic molecules present in the waste water.

It sounds like most of the energy comes from the organic material that the bacteria feeds on. Maybe it uses sunlight also? But if it did not reduce the energy requirement of the externally-supplied electricity to below 144 kilo-calories per mole, there would be no point in doing it.

I like your phrase But what does it mean? How is the work function overcome to produce Hydrogen and Oxygen? Electroylsis decomposes water into Hydrogen and Oxygen, but it still requires 144 kilocalories per mole of water; unless there is some new form of catalyst used that I know nothing about. This story sounds like the claims of fusion reactions in your basement lab.

It is electro-chemically managed decomposition.

Does this process of extracting hydrogen actually bypass the energy requirement of 144 kilo-calories per mole of water needed to obtain its makeup of hydrogen and oxygen? Or is this just a variation of the photosynthesis reaction?
