As a State Representative, I have just submitted legislation to the Legislative Council in Maine asking them to approve consideration of legislation asking for warning labels clearly displayed on packaging and cell phone devices here. Because of the nature of this session, they need to consider it an emergency for the bill to move forward in the legislative process. Professionals in the field and lay advocates have provided me with many compelling studies and articles, and I'd be pleased to receive additional information. The Council will vote their decision on Oct. 15 as to whether they think this is the public health emergency many believe it to be.

My husband was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor the same week as Ted Kennedy. We now have confirmation it is due to his long term cell phone use. This is happening to many others that I know. I testified to congress last year and just attended the International Expert Conference on Cell Phone Health Phone Risks on Capitol Hill held in conjunction with this Senate hearing. They should have linked the you tubes of the conference to this article. It is incredible. Cell phones can kill and other countries are using the Precautionary Principle while the US is not. BE CAREFUL and do not let children use them - and do not let teens sleep with them under their pillows.

I am a retired Electronic Engineer who has studied hundreds of reports on RF and cell phones. There is no doubt in my mind that there is a problem.
