Flywheels = limited amount of energy for a limited amount,

in computer world -> Flywheels=L2 cashe.

Importance of L2 cache is quite high, but...

Using the flywheel seems to be uncommon common sense! I did read recently about using flywheels for hybrid buses (http://economicefficiency.blogspot.com/2009/10/more-efficient-hybrid.html). Instead of using a chemical battery and all the "non-green" components that go into them, the flywheel can attach to existing transmissions and provide as good or better fuel efficiency.

I would love to see more research on flywheels with wind turbines!
