My question/comment to the readers is, if the Spanish flu of 1918 hit the world today how would it compare to 1918 considering the advancements in medical treatments and overall population health. Now if H1N1 was tossed into the equation, is it a substantial killer or more of a knee-jerk reaction to public media. Let us not forget about the Avian flu lurking about the world, it is a killer. If Avian started moving around the population like H1N1 or seasonal flu, then I would be worried, very worried.

My mother wants me to get the swine flu shot she has already gotten it. No side effects so far its only been a couple of days. But I personally would not like the shot. No one around me is sick or gotten sick from any swine flu and i think that it is nothing major to be concerned with. But she refuses and I do not want to risk the side eddects from the shot. Any ideas? No, I'm not afriad of shots nor do I have any medical problems I just do not see the reason why I must get it..

Each year in the US, on average, 36,000 people die from flu related illness. Only 550 deaths in the past months? Mostly due to other health issues? What is the big deal?

I am a pregnant woman. I will not be receiving the swine flu shot or the nasal spray. To know that the virus will be put into my body just does not make any sense whatsoever. I only know of one person that has reveived the nasal spray. She is a three year old female that attends day care. Not even two days after receiving the nasal spray, she becomes ill with a fever and diagnosed with impetigo. I cannot say for sure if the impetigo is a leader factor from the nasal spray. What I am saying is that she did not have any medical conditions before the nasal spray. There is not anyone else that I know that has been sick or feeling "blue". Furthermore, there is also no one else that I know of getting the shot or nasal spray. Could it be a cuiensedence? I honestly do not know. However, there does not seem to be any doctor conformation to tell me otherwise. Have you ever stopped to think how so many more cases of the swine flu has been reprted since so many more people has been receiving the shot and nasal spray? These cases that are being reported, are not stating if the victim has been in contact with the vaccine. I will close my personal thoughts with I do wish luck for everyone throughout this period of time. I do not recommend for anyone to persue in the vaccine.

The swine flu is nothing but the regular flu . But what the drug industries are
not telling the people is that the oringinal flu shots in the past has rob the body of it orginal antibodies, and so the old flu shot which is a factory made flu. Has made the flu even wrose for those who have already had gotten the shot in the past. Those of you who refuse are the ones he will beat the flu. because you body has it's own make up of antibodis to fight off anything.It's the drug companies who are lying to the world , useing old war biochemicals to kill people and make more money.

Swine flu is a virus made up of 3 strains. I won't be getting the shot. I've had the flu maybe twice in my life, once really bad when I was 7 or 8. Maybe that is why I don't get it now. I've had one flu shot and got really sick for several days, never again.

i have heardd the swine flu shot . is killing more people in other countrys more than the illness . so therefore why should we get them . all the people are going to sit up shops in the midedle of road to get everyone in the united states to have the shot . whatis this . are we all going to die . ? . i declare that i will not get the shot . i will try to keep away from any ways of the swine flu . and take the resk of a 50 , 50 chance of getting it and still then you can live through it 1 to 10 chance . but if you get the shot then you will infectbody and die so me , i going to PASS .
