NASA Embraces Pop Culture on Next Shuttle Flight

When I was a kid in the 1980's, anytime NASA lauched a shuttle it was broadcasted by the major networks and it was big news. I think people just liked to watch the shuttle explode off the ground. To get popular, why doesn't NASA stop wasting our money and start doing things worth learning about. We haven't been back to the moon and all and we are studying Mars and it costs billions of dollars. They are preparing to put a new telescopic in space to replace The Hubble and it will cost millions of dollars. NASA is like a dead beat brother: You see him at a family 'get together' and he'll be avoiding you like the plague because he owes you money. When NASA thinks you've forgotten about the money, he'll show up and start pitching you on a business plan and why he needs $500 million to pay for it. YOu lend him the cash and then when you see him again, he's like, "Hey, dude. Uh... I don't have your money per se, but I've got this really awesome picture of the Crab Nebula... you can keep that by the way."

If NASA is a one horse show! No aliens (that we know of), no base on the moon, no base on Mars, no really awesome crew like Star Trek that travels the universe breaking bread with the Klingons. No. None of that. All we get is pictures.
