You talk about Ellesmere Island as being a "tundra wasteland." In fact, the tundra is NOT a wasteland, but is full of plants, animals, and human occupants. You also say that today polar bears, penguins, and Arctic bears live there. There aren't any penguins in the Arctic. Penguins ONLY live in the southern hemisphere.

Dear Editor,
You missed this error: "the dinosaur-sized African elephant Indricotherium..."
Indricotherium is an extinct member of the Rhinoceros clade, and certainly NOT an African elephant.
I can of course understand the error, as the journalist probably did not get a chance to walk to the Hall of Vertebrate Origins in the same museum where the above exhibit was being held.
