Officials Ready to Build Virtual Fence Along Border

Border control I see as more of a dog-and-pony show by Washington to hoodwink the public. You can go under, over, and through real fences, and apparently the results of virtual fences haven't been spectacular. How many cameras and operators would be required to actually see what's going on? I have some experience with infrared motion detectors, and even indoors in an empty building they give out so many false signals that people stop paying attention to them. Even if the sensors and cameras work, illegals can simply swarm an area and overwhelm enforcement personnel. Or they can start using boats and move up the coast.

The way to get rid of illegals is to stop offering them incentives to come here. End anchor baby citizenship. Stop plans to reward illegals with citizenship, DREAM acts, free education for their children, and other benefits. Really punish a few employers as an example. End illegal sanctuary cities. These are things that are very easy to do. The only thing that stops enforcement is the corruption of the two parties, Democrats angling for the Hispanic vote and Republicans bringing in cheap labor for business cronies.
