this kinda supports mormonisim they say the world and everything into was created in 7000 years.... anyways really interesting the evoultion of everything could have been alot faster then we all think rather then a 60 million years some say it took for monkeys to turn into humans.

So if God created the universe and we are imperfect creations didn't we, the transcibers of his word, induce errors in the Bible that is further incorrectly interpreted
.....OR.....
Why can't Christians accept the idea that their God created Evolution?

Redneck of TN...
I agree that the stereotypes that have become part and parcel of this debate are destructive.
However, an issue with your "scrap of evidence" comment. First, the article to which you've responded is an explanation of physical evidence that living organisms "evolve to exploit distinct ecological niches, similar to the finches that Charles Darwin famously described in The Origin of the Species 150 years ago." This is science. It is based on physical evidence, and there's an astounding array of that evidence on record that helps explain how our physical world came to be what it is today.
Intelligent design is a theory based on the absence of evidence. This is faith. I have faith that God created the world, and I'm quite sure we haven't discovered half of how He did. But that's where science comes in. Trying to bend science to fit one's faith, and vice versa, is not just useless, it's destructive. Forget "intelligent design." Let science be science and faith be faith.

I am an advocate of intellegent design. I am by no means a "redneck" or "knucklehead". I am however, tired of the argument. If we really wanted to compare evidence, the fact is that niether side has any concrete evidence. Evolutionists have not found the "missing Link" And It is going to be hard to scientifically prove that the universe was spoke into existence. The fact is that this argument is no more than people trying to disprove that a being exists that is stronger than them. And christians defend intellegent design because it is at the core of their beliefs. So unless God comes to earth and makes a speech about how he created this universe or a fossil is found that proves a scecies evolved belive what you want a stop bickering about it.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. Evolutionists are still waiting for the intelligent design rednecks to offer at least one scrap of EVIDENCE that "God made everything." I think you are a closet supporter of intelligent design, and scientists and intellectuals are tired of the uneducated knuckleheads like you jerking it to the Bible every 3 seconds.

When will people realize that evolution and adaptation are two different things: evolution is the creation of something new, adaptation is adjusting your surroundings. Darwin witness an adaptation of a species, and concluded evolution (the same with Voytek here), but why does that have to be the case? Created species could adapt as well. Just throwing that out there. And also, it does not appear that Voytek created a scenario which matched Darwin's (as the article claims), because Darwin said the species competed over a common food source, and then each had to adapt when competition became to overbearing and another food source was necessary. 2 subjects and 5 "food sources" in a test tube?! Where was the necessity to adapt (or "evolve")?! There was no competition over a common food source; there was no necessity for survival in this situation. People are the same way in cultures around the world: some cultures consume at a faster rate and some cultures reproduce at a different rate; that does not mean we have two different species of evolution (to some who might argue the counter-claim: don't). Overall this study seems lacking in many areas and should not be taken as revolutionary by any means (let'sbe serious, you're reading it on an internet blog).
Oh and the intelligent design "knuckle-heads" are probably tired of evolutionists jerking it to Darwin every 5 seconds, and are waiting until these evolutionists can come up with something new, perhaps some evidence. (I'm not a contender for intelligent design, I'm just tired of the arguement)

The Scripps Research Institute that can be quickly replicated by other scientists. We are already a century past the point where we should still be talking about origins and life by speaking so frequently of Darwin and his writings.
