This wonderful article brings us up-to-date with the most efficient and promising seismic forecasting technology. Whether it is Southern California awaiting "the big one" or West Tennessee, it is good to know that research continues and tools are being refined to help us prepare. Thanks for the assurance and for the reminder this great article conveys - we need to prepare.

This is very interesting...I'm glad I don't live out there.

This is one heck of a article!

I lived through the Northridge Earthquake back in the 90's. It destroyed my home. I got the hell out of Los Angeles and came home to Wisconsin. Better returning to frozen gound then moving ground.

The doors in my house are creaking. It sounds creepy. This house is always quiet as a mouse, but today I hear doors creaking and sounds like creaking. My friiend in Lancaster says she thinks its the wind, but there is only light breeze wind here.

I just heard another noise. This time sounds like a tapping. I just JUMPED.

I THINK NORTHRIDGE IS GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER ONE SOON! These sounds are scary!

Though I lived in California since Childhood, earthquakes rarely raise an eyebrow here. I'm now a senior.

When my door opened with outout cause in 1994, I tried to tell News, but had multiple arguments with the telephone operator who could not find a news room for me since I did not know the location.

Now, I'm hoping this creaking house is merely aftershooks.
