Great idea to create a black hole and position it right here on Earth so we can capture NEO's and incoming asteroids, meteors and comets to make them magically dissapear! Duh... I wonder what effect a black hole would have on Earth.

I think Howard is back to making Little Willow flicks once again.

I thought Hanks role was to transparent and thin in The Da Vinci Code. In short, to much went into finding out who this woman was, (Agent Sophie Neveuthus) making the plot less involving. I thought the National Treasure series was (will be) a better movie duo.

CERN is also an acronym for CATASTROPHIC EARTH ROTATIONAL NEGATION. What do we have to gain from learning how the universe may have been created from the primordial subatomic particles? Will it allow us to transport to other stellar systems and reconstitute in our current form? If so, beam me up Scottie. If safe and practical uses of potential CERN discoveries are unlikely, why do we want to do experiments like creating anti-matter and a nano-black hole right on planet Earth? No one knows when and if these phenomena are created, what the potential catastrophic consequences will be. Knowledge for knowledge sake should not be the scientific benchmark. The pursuit of scientific knowledge that may endanger the entire world is not a sensible pursuit. It is a downright unnecessary risk and a great danger. Greed for greed's sake led to the current economic meltdown. What's next, experiments to stop the earth's rotation, to reverse its polaric poles, to put holes in its gravitational field? Just because we think we can do it doesn't mean we should pursue trying to do it. Some things in nature are better left alone. Some knowledge should be forbidden - otherwise, why doesn't everyone try crack cocaine to see how it feels. We have enough crack heads and don't need our scientists to become addicted to discovery... they may well start a cascade effect they have little understanding about and cause TEOTWAWKI by 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar.
