I am a student (still undergraduate) studying in India. I have been exposed to the fascinating world of nanotechnology for the past one year. I believe that science and religion are two sides of the same coin. So similar yet so different and whether one dominates over another is a moot point. As far as anything done, professed, researched by humans tend to bring prosperity to human race..there should not be any kind of argument in this regard. The reason why nanotechnology is slowly emerging as one of the most sought after enterprise in future is purely because it has shown huge potential to revolutionize modern civilization. Its only a matter of time that one may find cure to fatal diseases like cancer, AIDS and even mental stress..

I am verymuch in agreement with that "best science will only be able to manipulate life and never be able to create it..." and I have no daunt that nanotechnology is goin to be the best technology ever seen.

I am a religious person and I believe that nanotechnology is certainly not moral. Because in Christianity we are taught that we humans are suppose to suffer with things such as illness. But as a human, it would be completely ridiculous for we humans not to research and try to solve the humanities ill's based on the beliefs systems of people. Nanotechnology is certainly dangerous; capable of creating diseases that we can not imagine. But, we could also create on a scale we can not imagine. Remember this: fanatic Christians still believe that FM radio is the work of the devil and fanatic Muslims believe women should not be educated!

At best science will only be able to manipulate life and never be able to create it.

To think we are capable of creating life itself is the height of presumptuous arrogance.

There is one who is far greater and whose intelligence created time and space and all that it contains.

Those who think other wise have failed to see the order of intelligent design.

I for one have no fear of Nanotechnology any more than technology itself and consider myself to be very religious.

Rediscover that which is already known by a Master Engineer and Builder.

Life itself will never be created in the lab, some things are beyond man’s limited capabilities.

The persons most likely to reject nanotechnology do so as a result of inadequate education, closemindeness, or a religious prediposition. But then, these are all interrelated. Shame on us and the rest of the world knows it.
