Will 'Upgrades' Enhance Our Bodies?

Upgrades

Speaking from a medical, technological, and military background, I can honestly see the benefits of this technological advancement. I can also see the hazards! I am not delving into Science Fiction here, as computer viruses, EMP's and other forms of potentially fatal flaws are apparent in today's society. All I am asking is that while we are going to go forward with this research and development, please be cautious enough to think of, and plan for the reality of inappropriate use.

I am reminded of a line from Jurassic Park....."We were so busy trying to figure out if we could, that we never stopped to consider whether or not we should."

I think that if you wanna bench press 200 pounds you should try hard to get there. I lift weights and would never even think of using this.

well well well

Sounds like something straight out of an aldous huxley novel, we all shud realize technology kills, it saves lives of course but will be the end of us all

About time.

This technology has been suppressed because of the fear among general populace that if people could use such prosthetic/bionics enhancing physical abilities, some would sacrifice limbs for such "enhanced" abilities. Instead of focusing on the negative possibilities we should focus on the benefits for those who need such assistance and for the betterment of the people.

my point of view

hello im a solider in the army and having ainterface like this would truly impove proformance and safety. my pros:lifting things , good back support , and must of all bulletproof.

Cons: the neural interface could either take contol or create systimatic synapse twitching. the link between man machine has its pros and cons espescially dealing with the blood-brain barrier.

What if a person who looks weak does the upgrade and than hits you with a 10 times stregth??

This will generate an "arming" rush when everyone will try to have this tools and won't use it for constructive purposes.

Enhacements

When all these projects go into effect, I want to be upgraded to Iron Man like Tony Sparks

woww

i think this is a really awesome idea. People who really need help or just want to "upgrade" will have an awesome time with this. I think it's so weird how we are even able to upgrade our bodies. We are so technical in this day and age.
