What Will We Eat in a Hungrier World?

Back to article

?

You eat things that are made in a lab all the time! Twinkies, sodas, candies--none of that stuff grows in nature. Laboratory meat would be healthier and more beneficial for everyone because it wouldn't have to be bioengineered--full of hormones and antibiotics--or diseased. If they could find a way to produce it efficiently, that would also drive the cost of food down significantly. There would be no more cattle or chickens to feed and water, and all the land could be used for homes or farming. Great idea, I hope they make this a reality soon.

meat problems

Personaly i think that if we keep all the food clean and stop poluting the ocance and hlep from poluting them it would be a huge change fishis don't just die people are killing them.

But food is going to be food no matter what. And i really dont think anyone is going to go hungry. And we dont know what we are going to face in the future all you can do is live day by day.

I don't think that it is the anser to world hunger. You never know what could go wrong in the lab. Everything has a deffernt side effect and I wouldn't want to eat anything produced in a lab. I don't think that, that would be a good idea.

I think that the whole Making meat in the labrotary is not so bad as long as its clean and tooken care of. Food is always going to be food. There are many animals that are going extinct cause we keep eating them. It wouldn't be so bad to clone an animal if were just going to eat it, and let the real animal live, and keep on reproducing. Just as long as everything is clean im good with it.

meat for food or for problems

Human body is designed to consume fruits, vegetables, and meat; everithing probided by the earth. we will never make a fake meat without to face concecuences. a good example is the cows loaded with hormons to produce milk,as a consecuence, we have boys and girls with a early developments on their bodies and a inmature mainds. Vitro meat needs nutrients and chemicals to grow, and it isnot going to have a mouth or body.... What problems are we going to face in the future?

Fake Meat

Give me a break. Nothing will replace natural proteins supplied from beef, chicken, or fish. Not to mention from grain sources. Greenhouse gases from cows is a small amount of the problem. Cows supply a source of meat, plus numerous by products used in various industries. You people need to get out in the country and enjoy fresh air and sunshine. Also man has been using animals for food for thousands of years. Our food safety is the best in the world. All these salmonella scares and e.coli problems would go unnoticed if not for the media outcry and of course good recordering by the CDC and USDA. So just remember "What's for supper Beef!"

I Tryed :)

I think that what they are sayin is that meat can be used for alot of other things. They are also trying to find a way to grow meat out of the ground.Meat prices are going up because it has become so populare because everyone is eating it.Tey believe that if meat is grown it will still have the same good taste.

My opinion is it will save alot more animals if meat was grow but at the same time farmers would go broke because no one will bye the animals if the meat is grown.
