Wonkbook: 'Supercommittee', assemble!

With nine of the 12 "supercommittee" members named, there's an awful lot of effort being sunk into predicting how each individual member will contribute to the whole. John Kerry is a liberal, so he'll likely resist anything without taxes, but he's also a dealmaker and a defense wonk, so he'll probably push for a compromise. Every Republican on the committee signed Norquist's pledge, but Dave Camp is a veteran legislator with a deep and abiding interest in tax reform. Pat Toomey is a hardline conservative, but he's also a huge Harry Potter fan, and so he can perhaps be convinced…
