Mort Zuckerman: Obama Is Barely Treading Water

I'm so disappointed in your stance against Pres. Obama and here are just a few reasons why.

Has a Republican Pres. ever had worked with a congress that is as mean spirited, deceiving and refusal to compromise for the sake of the country

as this one is.

Has a Republican Pres. ever had deal with a Democratic propaganda news station (Fox) that bashes their Presidency for the whole world to witness?

As well as,all media talking heads delivering their opinion 24 hours a day?

Has Republican Pres. ever had to deal with a Democratic based corporation

that controls their party (Koch Brothers) with unlimited funding?

Has a Republican Pres. ever had to with a dominating Democratic supreme court

that work against him for their own self interest?

The answer to these questions are NO, never before in history have we seen

the likes of this before.

Stand behind the President as he stands for all of Americans.

Shame on you.

Mort Zuckerman should be advisor to the President. He makes you see obvious facts of economy and how can our policy be so blind? US has grown since 1776 due to balance and compromise since north vs. south economic differences. So why can we as modern USA not find balance between views of Obama and Mort? Then we can succeed with balance! There were key points:

1.) We do not retain Phd foreign students and we do not allow High IQ immigrants as we cut the immigration. Policy did this to appease public demand and not for intelligent leadership.

2.) Fixing infrastructure is good incentive spending so we have bridges and jobs from the new jobs here. This was good by Obama. But 8 billion paid to corporations was wasted.

3.) When debt payoff spending exceeds military defense spending it can cause fall of nation. Hard power by means needs resources to pay for military.

4.) In 2001 we had surplus in budget but it was not creditable conclusion because those 300 dollar checks to everybody were money needed to float nation during declines.

5.) USA can not preach to Asia now that our Financial System is the best because we are failed, less legitimacy, worse reputation. USA can't lecture China our system is not superior. Washington concensus is not superior anymore, similar to fall of Soviet system. Perhaps it was lichens and moss, one needed other for survival? Arch rivals energized each other?

6.) USA uses numbers and statistics to value the success of business more than the rest of the world? We are suited to a knowledge based economy? But how can we do it when policy is stifling finance capital so that they are not using statitics, they are worried more about government policy and hostility towards success of new startup business? Hostility towards the culture that built USA?

7.) Innovation and Entrepreneurship make USA grow out and survive? But government policy is caustic and hostile to small business? Explain to me how somebody? Where is the reference to this?

Misery

"Obama and the Dems have made things worse. I am an independent and don't like either Party and I am not involved in the Tea Party movement. There is only degrees of difference between the two parties. They care most about re-electing themselves and keeping the governmental bureaucrats happy."

Misery,

I hear this complaint all the time. I have to wonder, do you and others who share your view think Democracy is free? For 250 years, many, many people have given their lives to obtain and preserve Democracy in this country, bring it to countless others and, as I write, continue to do so.

Do you think the kind of person you want in power just happens somehow and if you sit and do nothing but complain about the Parties you are somehow noble?

Read our Constitution. Read the Federalist Papers. Our Founding Fathers well understood the lure of power and did everything they could to protect this country from those who would take it from We the People. But, it is a never ending job.

Get off your duff and go do something. If we have bad choices it is because voters do not get involved in the primaries, do not educate themselves, do not separate the wheat from the chaff and get someone worthy of representing them.

That is exactly what the Tea Party is all about and is doing.

Are they perfect? Heck, no! If you are waiting for a human organization to be perfect, you are in for a long wait. I got off my duff when I was young to fight for Civil Rights. I didn't just sit and expect a perfect world to just happen.

I am off my duff again and in the Tea Party. I went to hear all of the candidates running for Congress as Republicans against our worthless Democrat incumbent and am now most comfortable with the one nominated as I have personally talked with him and know where he stands and I have a sense of his character. I am now working for his election.

Freedom isn't free, buddy. It is OUR Government and if you want it to represent US, YOU need to make it happen.

Too bad so many voters think a good speech qualifies one to be POTUS. It should have been obvious what was coming down the pike instead of taking 19 months to figure it out. I've seen voter intellect almost disappear over the years, but I'm still amazed at how we invited what's happened to us.

We have one chance left, and that's to purge ourselves of this nightmare come Nov. The way things are going though, Nov may be too late.

Obama and the Dems have made things worse. I am an independent and don't like either Party and I am not involved in the Tea Party movement. There is only degrees of difference between the two parties. They care most about re-electing themselves and keeping the governmental bureaucrats happy.

Obama put all of his effort into health reform which most voters didn't want. This is going to make health insurance more expensive with less care.

I just hope that we get divided goverment after the fall election and Obama's agenda will be stopped. I don't know what happens after that. I just keep praying for wise leaders to rise up and run for office.

Obama has sorely disappointed from his actions on:

*Health care

*Cash for Clunkers

*Wall street bailout

*Auto bail out

*….EVEN the Olympic Bid!

*Economy in general and jobs in particular

*Developing an Afghan policy and having to go to West Point to announce it

*Christmas Day bomber (if we recall, it took him days to respond)

*Failure to secure US borders

*TImes Square bomber

*GITMO

*Lack of effective action in the Gulf Spill, and failure to listen to the governors involved – Obama just seems to DITHER!

* And how about that uncontrolled deficit GANG?? Obama appears to be totally void of any management skills!

*The dysfunctional Country Team in Afghanistan, resulting in the relief of Gen McChrystal

One simply cannot play golf; take three vacations in three months; shoot hoops; have parties as the present incumbent of the White House seems enjoy, while the nation is in a deep recession; prosecuting two wars; and has a major disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, and on our borders. Just signs of POOR LEADERSHIP ON THE PART OF OBAMA!! Regardless of what he believes, HE IS NOT, REPEAT NOT OMNIPOTENT!!

His solution to EVERYTHING is: TAX & SPEND; TAX & SPEND; AND THEN, TAX & SPEND! He needs to add “CUT” to his vocabulary!

It just appears that he has taken a wrecking ball to the institutions of the USA, and is now having at it. IS IT BY DESIGN??

Barak Obama is a muslim. The muslin agenda is for all infidels especially americans to fail and Obama is in a position to do just that. The sad part is the demoraratic party enables him and a large part of americans have their head up their butts and can't see it coming. If we want this great country to survive we must get rid of Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Clinton and the rest that put their agenda above the good of the country.

I could hire one or two people tomorrow if i wished. I am not going hire anybody until i feel that the financial risks that i take to have a small business are reduced. Obama has increased them significantly. Some of the larger companies, Caterpillar, are already setting money aside to pay for it. This is money that is not going to go to the hiring of new employees.

Cureently between 45 and 55% of what I earn is going to taxes from federal, state, county, city. This doesn't include sales and use taxes like the tax on gasoline and electric. Yet the average government worker is making multiples of what i make, has a better medical program and retirement program. Yet I am the one who is paying for it.

The role of government was to serve the people. Well those days are dead. The new model is the people serve the government.

Until the government is much smaller and congress understands and the president understands that you CAN NOT SPEND MORE THAN YOU TAKE IN I am not going to expand my work force. I am not going to invest in new equipment et cetra. Why should I The government gets more of anything additional that I earn than I do.

So, Mr Obama, Madam Peolsi, and Mr. Reid How is that for change you can believe in. How's working for you?

Graham of OH 11:18AM July 20, 2010

Please take your medication Robert.

Yes, Americans are disillusioned. I am disillusioned. But the situation is complex.

I believe the Bush adminstration put us in this position. And ain't nothing gonna fix this thing quickly. Republican policies put us here so Republican policies certainly won't fix the problem.

I'd say Obama's biggest flaw is that he is too willing to compromise with the devil.

Doug of UT 1:44AM July 20, 2010

Obama has promised new jobs and was even bragging that he had created over 100,000 new jobs last month, while with a stroke of his pen eliminated close to 2 million jobs by shutting down drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. I believe it's close to 15 offshore drilling rigs that have left the US so far, for South America, Africa, and other areas to drill, taking with them jobs and opportunities for American Citizens. Why isn't this mentioned in any of the news cast?? Why didn't Obama mobilize the US Navy, Coast Guard, other Military services to help with the BP cleanup, why didn't he suspend the law that won't let other countries in to help with the cleanup?? All you hear is that's it's BP's fault, they have to pay, and they have to stop the oil from flowing. Where is the help needed by BP to stop the oil flow?? If the US government is so well tuned to the problems BP face why don't they remove BP and do it themselves?? Main Reason they don't: Might get their hands dirty, literally speaking, as all the politicians in reality already have dirty hands and they don't really have the know how to stop the flow, only companies involved in the oilfield have the expertise required to stop the flow and Obama has pretty much tied their hands behind their backs.
