Mort Zuckerman: World Sees Obama as Incompetent and Amateur

It nonplusses me that the elitist political pundits lament Obama's poor decision making on a panoply of issues, yet few fail to remind of us of how smart he is. Does it occur to anyone that consistently making not so smart decisions may be the result of being not so smart? I've not observed any visible evidence san teleprompter that he possesses anything other than mediocre intellect.

When our President was campaigning for the job these "features" of his were very apparent to anyone who looked at his thin resume and thought for, oh, maybe 10 seconds or so, about liberal democrats and their profoundly disturbing need to view legitimate US National Interests with deep moral condemnation.

So now he is President... and what a surprise... he doesn't know how the world really works and has a profoundly disturbing need to view legitimate US National Interests with deep moral condemnation.

The object lesson is No: he can't.

Morty has to have a reason to have helped Barry get elected. Smart ass president is as good a reason as any. Morty is so smart that he didnt see Barry Huessein Obama (BHO)as what he truly is. That is our first Muslim president.

You have to wonder why 80% of the Jews vote democratic? Why they give so much money to the Democrat's. Why Jew's as smart a Morty ignore all reasoning and help people like Obama get elected.

Israel will be very lucky to survive the next 2 years if Barry has anything to say about it.

Nice work Morty and friends.

S. Thompson and EJohnson are far more articulate than I. Well done! Glad to see an awakening of sanity. What is disturbing is that 38% of our population actually feels FeuxBama is doing a "good" job. Just like taking bad mortgages, they couldn't afford, our collective stupidity is killing Rome from within by consistently encouraging and voting in incompetent leaders. Half the voters believed this naked Emperor.

Yet I and the other 2 writers found it so frustratingly obvious that he was nothing but a Marxist influenced salesman. What's most astonishing to me is when so many say that the President's role is minimal in this complicated government. WRONG! It's called lack of leadership friends.

We live in a world of perceptions, and when the President is seen as someone who just can't get things done, has no idea what urgency is, makes decision based on politics, makes excuses for everything, is clearly anti-business and shows that he has never managed anything by the way he doesn't act, the perception is going to effect every person, every business and every country on this planet. The perception is that our leader is not intelligent, but paralyzed to due inexperience, false virtues, surrounding himself with like idiots, and his complete ignorance of the way this country is really supposed to run.

When is the country going to realize that we need a business person to run the largest corporation in history, the USA? Just shoot for making a profit of one dollar and we'd see amazing things start to happen. Now they're talking about the possibility of Hillary in 2012. She's the one who said "we don't need a businessman as President, America is not a business" she said of Romney.

Double socialists back to back will certainly finish us off. Do something everybody! Go online and sign-up on an impeachment petition or watch Obama kill this county in the next 2 years. 2011 is going to be far worse once his taxes kick in. This President and his lethargy is reflective of who we have become! He is US.

If you have to say someone is smart, the person is not smart. If that person has to say he is pro business, he is not pro business.

Why is it necessary for Mr. Zuckerman to mention that Mr. Obama is smart? Why can no interview be conducted, nor article written, that does not mention that Mr. Obama is obviously smart? It isn't obvious to many of us watching the destruction of our way of life. We have seen no evidence that Mr. Obama has any special intelligence beyond reading someone's else's words from a teleprompter. In fact, there is every evidence to suggest that Mr. Obama is not so smart with his numerous inaccuracies when ad-libbing, and his faux pas in the social graces and in protocol.

And we have the vaunted main stream media to thank for refusing to even lift the veil on this community organizer back when it would have mattered. If they had done their jobs, people would have been able to take their measure of the man. There were plenty of us who sounded the alarm about this man, largely to no avail. Now they want to acknowledge the truth. A little late.

Short Memory: did not the house and senate vote for their wars. If the would not have then Bush could not have done it. Actually the damage done by Clinton and a predominately democratic majority the last two years of Bush's office were the damaging factor. I'm also sure that the Kurds are glad they are not getting gassed in the street anymore. Were we just supposed to lay down and not go after the 9/11 people? Clinton did that and they just got bolder.

Free Trade with China (lost jobs), NAFTA (more lost jobs), repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act (put into effect after the last Depression to reign in banks), and my favorite The Fair Housing Act (let American own homes even if they couldn't afford them) were probably the greatest causes of our economic downfall. Bush went before the Senate Banking Committee in 2000 and again in 2001 asking for rules and oversight on Fannie and Freddie because of the housing loans. He was ridiculed by Mr. Dodd (the same who just wrote the rules for banking) who said Fannie and Freddie were finely run institutions.

When Clinton left office he left Bush with a $17.9 BILLION deficit (I know, Clinton says he left a surplus but he counted SS income and not SS out go). The first year Bush was in office he was under a Clinton signed budget and that set the deficit to $133 BILLION. Even with both wars Bush was bringing down the deficit until the Dems took control his last two years. The deficit started climbing again. Verify this on the US Treasury's website and a few others out there. Bush, under pressure from congress, and started the bailouts with AIG (mostly because the government pensions were there). Obama and his supporting cast added trillions and we all know the rest.

Obama is an albatross hanging around the worlds neck.

T. Thomas of FL 11:25AM July 13, 2010

Obama has his faults and his challenges, but your basic premise is dead wrong. America's image overseas was in the toilet when Obama took office. From lying to the world about the reasons for a pre-emptive war to sexually harassing the Chancellor of Germany, Bush demolished respect for the U.S. Bush's wars--he started them--were losing propositions from the start. Vietnam taught the Third World the lesson that all an enemy has to do is keep shooting until the Americans get tired and go home. Then, the guerrillas who never won a single battle can claim victory. You are blaming the clean-up crew for the mess left after the party. The damage done by Bush will take decades to repair. And, Bush's handlers knew that. It was part of their strategy--leaked back in 2001--to leave such a mess as to tar the following administration--which conservative cynicism assumed would be Democratic. Of course, after eight years of looting and no accomplishments, the Bush policies created a country desperate for change. Conservatives made Obama. Be proud.
