Once and for all, Jews were always in the area known as Israel. Arabs were not. Jerusalem belongs to the Jews. As it was and it should be.Kudos to Mort for getting it exactly right.

You go back to your history in order to prove a very weak point. Where were the Jews when the Crusaders launched their campaigns against Jerusalem? You said that Israel was established in 1948, and the last time they were in Palestine was before 70 A.D. when the Romans destroyed the Temple-this is more than 1900 years. You need to decide which subject you need to use: Historical facts or religion. Muslims controlled this land for more than 1400 years-meaning Nashville is under US rule the same as Washington D.C. even though Nashville is not the capital. You quoted the Torah, that you understand, and I can quote the Quran that I can understand. To us, Muslims, our five daily prayers were established in that journey.

Having power does not justify actions. Israel is strong and Palestinians are weak, this is the bottom line keep your twisted logic to yourself.

iSRAEL'S NEIGHBORHOOD HAS TWO ARAB STATES WHO HAVE EACH A TREATY WITH iSRAEL AND THE REST WHO DENY ITS SOVERNE STATUS. iF Obama wants, realy wants a peacefull middle-east, he should have an even-handed ploicy of achieving formal treaties betweem all states , including Iran, dismantle Hamas and Hezbolah, and allow Israel to live in peace within its borders. Then, allow the Palistinians to achieve its own State, assuring its own security, as well as Israel's. Threats and teror groups will need to disappear and support for them will need to be extingused. Just think, if all of those factors were achieved, how beatiful and content that part of the world would be. Sometimes dreams come true.

Israel supposedly has quote peace unquote with Egypt but in Egypt the Egyptian government supports and actively proselytizes hate the Jews campaigns, from pop songs, to Imams in every mosque, to teachings in grade school through university, to every newspaper, tv station, and radio station. And of course, on the internet. The government hires rabid journalists and extremist religious haters to spread their venom and has been doing so for years before the peace agreement and since the assasination of Sadat. The whole Egyptian army constantly trains for the their next war with Israel, and now they are armed by the US, and by the way they receive way more aid than Israel has ever received as 30 billion dollars in debt to the US for military equipment purchases was forgiven outright. All the people who complain about the aid to Israel, which is money that can only be spent on purchases of US military equipment, should be aware of how much armament the Egyptians, and other Arab and Islamic states, receive free of charge. Pakistan has received more than 10 billion dollars of aid since 2001 with zero accountability, the money was supposed to be used to better social conditions, it has all gone into the pockets of ISI intelligence agency bosses and for Pakistan's nuclear weapons program. The US is subsidizing Islamic hate factories directly or indirectly with no accountability.

Jbennett of OH should keep religion, and their own personal prophetic beliefs out of American foreign policy. Regarding your comments that the Palestinians are actually Jordanians and should be shipped back is beyond the pale. Whatever you want to call the Palestinians (East Jordanians, Arab Israelis, etc.), if they have lived in Israel or Jerusalem for multiple generations they should not be forcibly removed, this is called ETHNIC CLEANSING! If you believe that they should, then most Americans (Based on you logic that Palestinians are actually Jordanians) are actually not Americans but Europeans, Africans, Asians, etc, and should be forced to move back to their original homeland, so the Native Americans can reclaim their stolen land.

Israel wants peace so bad they have uprooted there own people to apease the so called palestinians to no avil!! Just look at the gaza strip! Since 70% of them are from jordan just send them back!!...the problem is they dont want Israel's land they want the Jew's dead!!! It's the same old evil, just in a different rapper. G-d bless Israel and her Capital Jerusalem.

Just as the Bible has said Jerusalem has became a cup of trembling to the entire world!!!

The creek, Cherokee, Seminole, and chocktaw are causing some problems here out east. We have a lot of land out west in Oklahoma, let's send them there!

Fine. Then let the Israelis pay for their own defense and not collect billions in American taxpayer dollars. We can have an alliance with Israel, however I don't want to pay for everything when our own country is in the financial hurt bag. By the way, does this mean that slovenia can steal land from austria since Austrians could just go live with their German speaking brethren in Germany? Same logic.

Jon of WI 7:18PM April 28, 2010

The issue is between the Arabs and Israel, not the Palestinians and Israel. The Arabs have no lack of land, and in fact have a virtual continent the size of the USA. Israel (and in fact, the Jewish people) have been allowed a small plot of land on this Earth known as Israel -- about the size of New Jersey.

If this were simply a fight between the Israelis and Palestinians, then why has Obama tied the proposed treaty to keeping peace with Iran?

Israel needs defensible borders, or they end up living in their bomb shelters for years on end, as many did when Hamas sent over 6,500 missiles into Israeli cities and villages.

Israel will fight before it brings down its flag. The reminder of Hitler and Nazi Germany is not that old.
